It is expected that in the coming week, the price of brown fused alumina in China may increase by about RMB 50/ton.
In addition, due to the tight supply of brown fused alumina in the spot market, the export price of brown fused alumina in China has risen this week, rising by about US$10/ton from last week.
This week, affected by the continuous increase in the price of anthracite raw materials, the quotations of black silicon carbide in Ningxia continued to rise, with an increase of about RMB 100-150 /ton from the beginning of the month. According to some local production companies, the current price of anthracite has risen by about RMB 350-400/ton. According to calculations, smelting one ton of black silicon carbide consumes 1.3 tons of anthracite raw materials, which means that the cost of smelting black silicon carbide increases by about RMB 500/ton. Therefore, it is expected that in the coming week, from the perspective of production costs, there is still room for the price of black silicon carbide in China to rise.
This week, since the price of raw material petcoke has doubled since the beginning of this year, green silicon carbide companies have to raise prices to maintain profits. It is expected that in the coming week, the price of green silicon carbide in China may tend to rise.
